Burley Minerals is a West Australian iron ore and base minerals explorer and developer with projects and head office based in Perth, West Australia. It has secured an option to acquire 70% of the capital of Novarange Pty Ltd (Novarange) which owns 100% of the Yerecoin Project near New Norcia, Western Australia.

Burley has successfully completed an Intial Public Offering and listed in the ASX on 7th July 2021.

Mr Wayne Richards

Managing Director

Mr Richards has over 35 years of study execution, project development, mining, mineral processing, and corporate financing experience within the resource and mining services sectors.  Formerly Executive Chairman and CEO of Tawana Resources, managing Director of Brockman Resources, and Executive Project Director of Minprovise International and Strike Resources Ltd. Wayne has performed executive and non-executive roles with ASX –  and JSE – listed companies, and has fulfilled senior executive roles with BHP and Anaconda Nickel.  Wayne has held Non-Executive Directorships with both listed companies and Joint Ventures/Alliances.

Mr Gary Powell  B App Sci (Geology), AIG, AusIMM

Technical Advisor

Mr Powell was appointed to the Board of Directors upon incorporation on 29 October 2020.

Mr Powell is an experienced geologist and mining executive with more than 35 years’ extensive experience in the mineral resources industry, ranging from grass roots exploration, feasibility studies and mining operations.

Mr Powell is a member of the Australian institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Australasian Institute of Geoscientists and has worked for various companies with properties in Australia, Southeast Asia and Central Asia. Early successes include leading the team in the discovery of the Genesis and New Holland gold deposits in the early 1990s, which mines are currently operated by Gold Fields’ Agnew operations.

Mr Powell was a co-founder and director of LSE: AIM listed company Metals Exploration plc, overseeing the development of the Runruno Gold Project located in the Philippines from exploration through to successful completion of a scoping study and is now an operating mine.  Since 2010, Mr Powell was a non-executive director of Medusa Mining Ltd and more recently a non-executive director of Strickland Resources Ltd. Until recently, he provided business development services to ASX listed Red 5 Ltd which is in the process of developing the large +4Mtpa King of the Hills gold mine in the Eastern Goldfields of WA.

Mr Jeff Brill

Non-Executive Director

Mr Brill was appointed to the Board of Directors upon incorporation on 29 October 2020.

Mr Brill is a project manager well experienced in the mining and oil & gas sectors having executed projects in remote locations and operated in a variety of roles including Project Manager, Project Engineer, General Manager and Managing Director.  Mr Brill has built project teams from the ground up to successfully execute a variety of projects and is an owner of engineering consultancy Avora.

Mr Brill was previously Managing Director of Engenium, where he delivered numerous studies, project management, detailed design engineering and full EPCM services to the mining industry.  Engenium’s client list included Atlas Iron and BC Iron as they fast-tracked themselves into production, as well as blue chip miners including BHP, Rio Tinto and FMG.

Mr Bryan Dixon   BCom CAANZ AGIA ACG

Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Dixon has over 20 years’ experience in the mining sector and was Managing Director of Blackham Resources Ltd (now Wiluna Mining Corporation Ltd), a West Australian Gold Producer, until May 2019.  Mr Dixon has extensive experience in the management of public listed companies, emerging resource companies and has been employed by an international accounting firm, Resolute Limited, and Archipelago Resources Plc.  Mr Dixon specializes in mergers and acquisitions, feasibility, development, financing and operations of mining projects.

Mr Dixon is a Member both of the Governance Institute of Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants  and has been with the Company since incorporation on 29 October 2020 appointed to the Board of Directors on 1 April 2021.


Ms Lisa Wynne

CFO and Company Secretary    BComm, CA, FCIS

Lisa Wynne has a Bachelor of Business and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Lisa’s experience includes over 15 years of board-level experience across the commercial sector with a particular focus on the finance, accounting, corporate services, technology, and resources industries across ASX and TSX listed companies. Lisa’s background includes roles as a Non-Executive Director responsible for strategic governance and operational planning and is Director and Owner Sila Consulting.

Mr Stewart McCallion

Feasibility Study Manager

Stewart has over 20 years’ experience in the resource industry with a variety of mineral commodities including iron, gold, copper, gold, iron, nickel and zinc. While working on the client side and as a contractor, he has been involved at all stages of the project life cycle from exploration to greenfield and brownfield development (engineering, construction and commissioning), operations and site rehabilitation. Stewart has worked on numerous projects in the Western Australia and internationally including with Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd. Through this diversity of project experience, Stewart has the honed the ability to determine business objectives, critically evaluate opportunities and risks, and manage multidisciplinary teams.

Mr Frank Hoppe

Technical Advisor

Frank has over 35 years’ experience with a proven record of discovery, project evaluation and development of iron ore, gold and base metals deposits,principally in remote areas of Western Australia and Papua New Guinea. Frank is a member of the Australasian Institute of Geoscientists and has significant experience in planning, coordination and supervision of exploration programs in various geological terranes for iron ore, gold, base metals, and mineral sands.

Frank also has considerable experience in resource development including metallurgical, geotechnical, hydrological studies and in developing field and safety procedures suited to exploration in remote locations.
